Lori-Anne Walker serves as VP, Chief Underwriter for Highland Capital Brokerage. Lori started in the financial services industry in 1987. She brings a wealth of underwriting and leadership expertise to Highland.
Starting her career in disability underwriting, Lori swiftly expanded her industry knowledge and established her niche in working with high-net-worth cases, particularly in the older-age market and capacity cases. Her leadership roles and consulting experience give her a unique perspective on special circumstances and valuable insights on positioning various situations.
Prior to Highland, Lori served as VP and Chief Underwriter at two GAs and increased the production and paid for business. She was also a consultant at the largest GA in the country for nearly 22 years. Lori has a medical transcriptionist background and started her career in disability. She served at Crump for more than 21 years at many positions, including Underwriting Consultant. She also served at Premier Brokerage for nearly two years as VP of Underwriting.
Lori is currently working on her FALU designation. She’s an active member of the Lifemark Underwriting Committee and the Nationwide BGA Underwriting Board. In addition, she’s the current President of the Twin Cities Association of Home Office Underwriters (TCAHOU) and a member of the Brokerage Underwriting Forum (BUF).
Lori resides in Minneapolis with her two dogs. She has three children who live in Nevada, Arizona, and New Jersey. She loves to travel, drink great wine, and play pickleball with her friends.
